钱锺书
《钱锺书手稿集》中《容安馆札记》和《中文笔记》的错简，前已指正（《中华读书报》2004年2月11日、《上海书评》2012年4月22日又11月18日），《外文笔记》安容独外？
这儿说的错简，一指叶和叶衔接的零乱，一指本和本衔接的舛谬——仅依据钱先生的过接词。
《外文笔记》
第二册第185-186页为第3-4页的复见，应芟夷。
第二册第241页应移植于第213页后（LeVoyagedeMonsieurPerrichon）。
第二册第249页与第248页当互乙（California:AStudyofAmericanCharacter；mydeepestmotivesandproblemshavecenteredabouttheIdeaoftheCommunity）。
第三册第270页应移植于第271页后（Lesdemi-vierges）。
第四册第432页应移植于第434页后（ReflectionsonOurAge；itisonlysomeamongthemanypossibledevelopmentsofhumanhistorythatareconsideredtobeprogressive），空白页应剔除。431页前有脱叶，下面为Revued’HistoireLittérairedelaFrance1958年第1期的补抄，编者误属作PullDevilPullBaker。
第六册第569-574页应移植于第718页后（AModernEnglishGrammar）。钱先生摘录AModernEnglishGrammar时已自编页码。
第六册第638-639页应移植于第568页后（AModernEnglishGrammar）。
第六册第646页应移植于第647页后（AModernEnglishGrammar；thereisnoanswer）。
第十八册第503-505页、第515-516页、第519-522页三处同为FrankSwinnerton的TheGeorgianScene:ALiteraryPanorama札记；第519-522页最前，为原书的第193-361页，第515-516页为原书的第374-414页，第503-505页为原书的第414页至末（钱先生赞曰：“Saneandsalutaryandoutspokencriticism,interspersedwithpersonalreminiscences,beproducedfrom‘LondonBookman’.”）。TheGeorgianScene:ALiteraryPanorama札记的前半部存在于第19册第28-34页。第519-522页移植于第515-516页前，复移植于第503页前，然后一并移植于第19册第34页后，庶几理顺章成。又按此本（）为编者蛮狠合成，手踪迥异，望而知非一时之作。其中第503-526页、第607-670页原为活叶，作于1935年。第527-606页为1953年的笔记，自成一本，第527-528页的SirJohnSuckling,Poems(addatoinfra)为首叶，作于三十年后，补第592页的TheWorksofSirJohnSuckling(SirJohnSuckling,Poems,TaworthPress,1933,seefirstpage)。
第十九册第87页为第182页的赘出，宜替换以第89页。
第二十一册第614页应移植于第849页后（EnglishOpinionsofFrenchPoetry）。
第二十一册第642页应移植于第640页后（ThePoetics）。
第二十一册第670页应移植于第668页后（AGrammarofAssent）。
第二十一册第671-672页应移植于第669页后（PleasuresandSpeculations）。

第二十一册第686-687页应移植于第六册第695页前（AModernEnglishGrammar；Ihaveotherfishtofry）。上文GreekArtandLiterature（第684-686页）亦宜一并移植。
第二十一册第690-691页应移植于第六册第554页后（AModernEnglishGrammar;afterverbslikeproduce,create,beget,construct,manufacture,etc.）。又按钱先生1952年选录AModernEnglishGrammar，笔墨纸全一样，却给编者二分四散，一划入“1938-1949”末的，一属于“1949-1972”末的，远隔得彼此要害相思病——疑两者本为一体。我浮山越海使之团聚，有良心的人都得感谢。钱先生在抄AModernEnglishGrammar的间歇，穿插几种札记和Jottings，并打上框框，如第6册第715页的TheStarofSatan，编者全看不见。
第二十一册第751页应移植于第755页后（EssaysandAddresses）。
第二十一册第769页应移植于第778页后（SpecimensofDouglasJerrold’sWit）。
第二十一册第777页应移植于第768页前（TheJestBook）。
第二十一册第811-812页应移植于第808页后（AModernBookofEsthetics；dominantcharacteroridéemère(Taine,Philosophiedel’art)）。
第二十一册第847页应移植于第612页后（SocraticMethodandCriticalPhilosophy。写入《容安馆日札》第七十四、二百三十三、四百八十九则）。除此横梗板障，则第846页与第848页通家好合矣（EnglishOpinionsofFrenchPoetry；onthreeUnitiesinPrefaceandProloguetoSecretLove）。
第三十二册第37-41页应移植于第33页后（TheTheoryofGoodandEvil；butwhencircumstancesmakeitimpossibleformetosecureformyself）。编者不肯出力为钱家做事，还嘴硬道：“这是土掘坑里钻出来的，没有老娘”（excerptwithoutauthorortitle）。
